Digital Design

At the University of Georgia, I have learned the programs and mechanisms of Lectra's Kaledo- Style, Print, Weave, and Knit. Through this class, I was challenged with the apparel technical development processes through concept, development, and the technical package using creative problem-solving, specification communication, and sublimation printing. I have cultivated the ability to work up color palettes, trend boards, colorways, apparel assortment through a variety of methods to apply surface design.

3D Knowledge

During the Summer and Fall Semester of 2024, I gained valuable experience with the Browzwear 3D software. Over the summer, I was introduced to Browzwear 3D software during my Apparel Design Internship at Champion. This experience sparked my interest in 3D design, leading me to pursue a CAD course at the University of Georgia to deepen my knowledge and skills in this area. Through this course, I learned to manipulate patterns, add darts and seams, sew garments digitally, and design fully rendered pieces using the software. For my final project, I recreated a look from Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 1997 Ready-to-Wear collection. On the right is my recreation, crafted entirely in Browzwear 3D.

Print Creation through Kaledo Print

Create 2 different prints along with 4 colorways for each print. Each print is indexed (color reduced), cleaned (both in studio and by hand), put into a printed repeat and
finally add 4 colorways in mill cards.

Style Line Plan Collection

The very idea of ‘street style’ might soon come to be considered rather dated. Once the term
suggested all those grass roots ways of dressing that were not dictated by the catwalks. I
chose influential street style that l rooted my collection in. I also included my mood board with a description of my street style I chose along with the underserved market I targeted.
